DEVELOPING YOUR UNIQUE PROPHETIC VOICE
Individually, we each have a unique prophetic voice and can prophesy. The word says in (1 Corinthians 14:31,) "For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged."
However, many times underdeveloped prophetic voices strive and compare their prophetic voices against well-seasoned voices or those they look up to. Unfortunately, they can begin to mimic and emulate what that other person carries. The problem with that is, when we imitate others in the prophetic, it waters down our very own prophetic ministry. The copied flow will not be natural when we imitate. You want to be truly YOU. God wants us to be authentic and grow in the gifting He has placed inside of us, individually. Prophetic voices need to be cultivated, trained, stretched, encouraged and exercised continually. We should desire and ask eagerly for the gifts.
“And Jesus kept increasing (growing) in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men”. (Luke 2:52)
“Grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ” (Eph 4:15).
How can you develop a unique prophetic voice?
I believe there are 5 top tools that will help you grow in the prophetic.
Reading and understanding the word
Knowing God intimately (a personal relationship)
Consecration (positions you to hear His voice and remove obstacles)
A hungry pursuit for the prophetic (desire the gifts, exercise your giftings)
Your level of prophetic education (learn from others, teachings, schools, workshops, prophetic communities, trainings, books, etc.)
God is always speaking; the question is are we listening? The mark of intimacy is hearing HIS voice. Hearing the voice of God is part of the joy of relationship with Him. There are deep hidden things and secrets that are reserved only for the friends of God who pursue Him in personal intimacy. Our purpose of our pursuit is not just for hearing HIM but becoming a “friend of God”. Make the presence of the Lord your priceless treasure. As you begin to walk in this type of relationship you will see the Kingdom of God manifested in your lives.
"But Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you." Matthew 6;33
